Military Pet Portraits
Furever Canvas turns your pet's photo into a military pet portrait on gallery canvas, with your dog or cat in a dress uniform with medals, epaulettes and gold braid. Each dog in uniform portrait uses our own original, classic-style uniforms rather than the insignia of a real branch, so it feels dignified and fun at the same time. Upload a photo, see a free AI preview, and approve a hand-finished proof before we print.

Example portraits

Two commanding styles: General and Admiral
- General: a dark dress coat, rows of medals and a proud, steady pose. Ideal for loyal, protective dogs and cats with a stern stare.
- Admiral: gold braid, a high collar and tall ships on the horizon, for the pet who has always acted like they run the ship.
Both styles have a classic, museum-style painted look, similar in spirit to our Renaissance pet portraits.
Respectful, fun and original uniforms
Our uniforms are original designs inspired by classic dress uniforms. They do not show the official insignia, ranks or emblems of any specific branch or country, so the portrait celebrates your pet's character without claiming a real service record.
The tone is proud with a wink: your pet looks every bit the decorated officer, and everyone who sees it smiles.
A thoughtful gift for service members and veterans
A dog in uniform portrait is a popular gift for someone who has served, a retirement or homecoming, or a family with a working-dog breed. It also makes a striking piece for a home office or den.

Great for every breed, including cats
German Shepherds and retrievers wear the uniform naturally, but poodles, doodles and long-haired cats look just as distinguished, as our example portraits show. See our German Shepherd portraits or custom cat portraits for more breed ideas.
For the best result, use a front-facing photo with clear eyes and the ears visible.
Senior pets look especially distinguished in uniform. Gray muzzles and wise eyes read like decades of honorable service.

Questions, answered
Can you add the insignia of a specific branch or unit?
No. Our uniforms are original designs and do not include official insignia, ranks or emblems of a real branch.
Does the military style work for small dogs and cats?
Yes. The uniform is fitted to your pet's size and pose, from a Chihuahua to a Maine Coon.
Can my two dogs be a general and an admiral together?
You can add a second pet for +$25 so both dogs appear together in the same uniform style, side by side.
What photo works best for a military pet portrait?
A sharp, front-facing photo at eye level in natural light, with your pet sitting upright, gives the most commanding pose.
Is a military pet portrait disrespectful to people who serve?
It is meant as an affectionate tribute, not a parody. The uniforms are original, the poses are proud, and many people order it to honor a service member's loyal companion.
How long does it take to arrive?
Your proof arrives within 48 hours of ordering. After you approve it, printing and US shipping usually take 5 to 8 business days.
